Twist and SHOUT...

Living in a dream

-Das 2002

As we see fit

We are

As we see not fit

We are.

I am

***************************************************************

Through my earthly journey I have seen the colors of god's rainbows

I have seen the sun set and the rising of the moon

and I stopped to embrace these moments.

I've walked upon concrete walkways.

I've gazed in to the bluest sky I'd ever seen.

I've stared into the starry skies night,

the brightest stars seemed to speak only to me,

and I pondered...

my god.

I've walked among strangers in big cities, people rushing hear or there,

they,

them...

Them all - strangers to me.

I walked all night in to the cities dead dark light

and I pondered...

my god.

I dreamed I was a person, hanging on the wall

with in a painting by my own hand.

Colors, colors every where, yet none of them could reach me.

Not blue or yellow, not red; violet or teal;

no black; no white; no shades of gray following me

no shadows,

no light,

no deep stars of bright,

and I pondered...

am I living in a dream...

I've walked upon the greenest grass,

a field that seemed to never end, it was timeless.

And there I pondered...

How did I begin, why am I here, where do I belong...

my god.

A Place To Call Your Own

-Das 2005

Did you ever watch the sun rise -

Then close your eyes.

Ever wonder if the sounds you hear

are only those cries of human fear.

And the sights you see

aren't really yours at all -

They're only borrowed dreams.

Can you find your way home - now that you're the rolling stone.

Did you ever have a home -

a place to hang your hat -

a place to call your own.

It's been along time thinking back.

Then you wonder - how did I get here.

As your heart fills with fear and dread -

when you realize the only thing left

is the forth coming of your own demise.

Did you ever fall in love -

just for a moment.

Then close your eyes and watch the stars fill in the black.

Or hear a song playing over and over inside your head.

Did you ever wake up and not know where you had slept.

Heard the voices speaking aloud -

whispering their songs of wisdom -

playing you the tune of the fool.

Did you ever think that you were crazy

in a way that most are not.

Then come to find out...

It's only you whom feels the genius flowing, burning within.

And all that gibberish which sounds from your mouth.

Makes perfect sense -

if one is really listing...

...and then there were none...

Breath Lives

-Das 2005

From within the absence of physical form -

there lingers the words of the gods divine.

Perfect in goodness and in righteousness are the devotions of the questions

of our absolute ineptness -

as we play the games -

the wars of the gods -

- the wars of men.

We can’t be brilliant and be alone.

We all must suffer within our own -

our lives are too empty -

too contemporary.

Most of us - of we,

of this, the human race,

are yet still sleeping -

within our own inactions of our own attractions.

The pain of birth -

within each breath lives the universe.

Will this moment carry you along -

will all that you touch become the all richer in the knowing that you belong.

Your heart will be broken a million times - in life

mend it and move on.

Pregnant with ideas and tactical by nature -

not quite sure in who or what to trust.

Disembodied voices float and communicate

the uncertainty of the being -

of the meaning.

And through the journey -

through the moments that always are -

one must find his own way home -

and then follow his path onto his tomorrow.
